Shopping List For 3 Day Egg and Grapefruit Diet

The shopping list for the 3 Day Egg and Grapefruit diet isn't very long at all.  In fact, you probably already have quite a few of the ingredients around the house!

If grapefruit are not in season when you go shopping, you can substitute 8 ounces of grapefruit juice for each 1/2 grapefruit.  Just be sure to get the unsweetened grapefruit juice.

If you can locate green tea, try that in place of coffee, as green tea is also thought to have a thermogenic effect on the body.

Your Shopping List For 3 Day Egg and Grapefruit Diet

  • 15 eggs
  • 5 large grapefruit
  • Loaf whole wheat bread - will need 6 slices
  • Coffee or tea (suggest green tea)
  • Mixed greens for salads (If you choose to have salads)
  • Veggies for salads, eating raw or steaming:  cauliflower, broccoli, zuchinni, summer squash, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, onion, your choice
  • 12 ounces meat, fish or poultry, divided into 4-ounce portions
  • 3 apples, medium (2.75 inches in diameter).
  • 3 or more lemons
  • Olive and/or flaxseed oil
  • 1 package part-skim string cheese (will need 3 servings)

You will have some leftovers (most of us can't buy just 15 eggs or 6 slices of bread), but they are staples, so maybe you already have them in your kitchen.
