Here is the shopping list for the 3 day smoothie diet. I put in on a separate page, so that it's easier for you to print out and take to the grocery store.
You will need a blender for this diet, because you are going to blend some frozen fruit. A shaker or a spoon just won't cut it.
Your Shopping List for the 3 Day Smoothie Diet
You'll need the following for the 3 Day Smoothie Diet:
1 can of whey protein powder. I suggest vanilla. Do not use soy protein powder.
1 or 2 small bags of frozen berries. Choose from strawberry, cherry, blueberries, raspberries or a mixture of these. You'll need 6 cups worth total.
24 ounces of unsweetened applesauce.
24 ounces of cottage cheese. Lowfat is best -- don't choose non-fat.
3 small bananas. If bananas spoil quickly for you, when you get home peel, slice and put in the freezer.
1 small bottle of flaxseed oil. If you can't find flaxseed oil, look for light olive oil. Flaxseed oil is best because of its antioxidant properties.
3 lemons -or- 1 small bottle of apple cider vinegar.
Raw veggies -- choose from cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes, celery. A small amount of carrot is OK, but not more than 1/4 of the total veggies.
Lettuce for salads -- dark green leafy is best, but lighter greens are OK. Enough for 3 good-sized salads.
Optional -- 2 boxes of your favorite flavor of sugar-free fruit jello. (Box is 2 cups.)
One more thing -- if you use flaxseed oil, store it in the refrigerator -- it can spoil more quickly than other oils if you don't.
