Shopping List 3 Day Green Tea Diet

The shopping list for the 3 day green tea diet isn't all that complicated, especially if you know what you want to begin with.

For example, you can choose between chicken and shrimp, and different kinds of fruits, too.  So there will be some decisions on your part.

Tea or Extract?

You can use a green tea extract in place of a cup of green tea.  I prefer the green tea liquid (the tea itseld) because it's easier to adjust the amount you take in.  If you use the extract, take only as much as the recommended dosage.

Tea is better unless you are in a situation where you cannot brew a cup or three during the workday.  If that's the case, go with an extract.  Read the label carefully to make sure you aren't getting more than just  green tea!

Here's Your Shopping List for the 3 Day Green Tea Diet

You'll need the following for the green tea meals:

  • 3 to 6 cups of fresh berries
  • 4 to 5 cups of fresh watermelon or cantelope
  • 3 apples, medium-sized
  • 18 ounces of cottage cheese - don't choose non-fat.
  • 3 servings of part-skim string cheese
  • 3 cups of low-fat yogurt, your choice of flavors
  • Three 3-ounce cans of albacore tuna packed in water
  • Three 3-ounce portions of skinless chiken breast  -or- three 5 ounce servings of shrimp (or some combination thereof)
  • Lettuce for salads -- dark green leafy is best, but lighter greens are OK.  Enough for 3 large and three medium salads.
  • Raw veggies, for salad and for steaming
  • Your favorite low-fat salad dressing -- do not choose fat-free dressing
  • Green tea, enough for 15 cups of green tea total.
  • Smidgen of apple cider vinegar and flaxseed oil -- if you can't locate flaxseed oil, use olive oil

One more thing -- if you use flaxseed oil, store it in the refrigerator -- it can spoil more quickly than other oils if you don't.
