The menu for the 3 day egg and grapefruit diet is the same each day. You do have a little leeway in some of your choices, but it's still monotonous!
Just keep reminding yourself how much weight you can lose with the grapefruit and egg diet, if you stick with it! And besides, it's just three days.
Please remember to drink plenty of water on the egg and grapefruit diet -- it's very important to your weight loss. A minimum of eight 8-ounce glasses. If you are 200 pounds or over, drink at least 12 glasses!
As much as possible do not use any artificial sweeteners while on this diet, and stay away from regular or diet sodas.
If you are sensitive to caffeine, choose a decaf coffee or tea, or herbal substitutes.
You can substitute 8 ounces of grapefruit juice for the grapefruit, but do try and eat the grapefruit instead -- it has all kinds of good fiber that the juice doesn't.
You cannot use salt or seasonings containing salt on your food. You can use any other seasoning mixes, as long as they do not contain salt.
I'm going to repeat myself with this note before trying the grapefruit diet because it's important. Tthere have been studies showing that grapefruit juice can interfere with some drugs, both prescription and over-the-counter. For this reason it's best not to eat the grapefruit within 45 minutes of taking any kind of medications.
