Alli Side Effects

Alli side effects can be few, or they can be difficult to live with at first.  While Alli can be a blessing for some people, know the side effects before you buy.

Like with any kind of medication, you will want to test Alli when you don't have to be somewhere special.  Many diet pills can cause changes in the body, and Alli is no exception.

Possible Alli Side Effects

OK, if you've read the Alli diet pill page, you know that Alli works by binding fat in your diet and passing it through the body.  Because it is being passed through, expect a change in your bowel movements.

And if you've eaten more fat than you are supposed to at any one meal, expect a big change.

On the official Alli website, it's noted that possible side effects include:

  • Oily gas
  • Loose stools
  • Possibly uncontrolled stools

It seems that these side effects can be kept in check by following the rules about how many grams of fat you can eat at any one meal.  They manifest mainly when you first start taking Alli diet pills, and if you go overboard on fat.

Indeed, even the official MyAlli website indicates that you may want to wear dark pants when getting used to Alli, and possibly a change of clothes.

Now you know why I said don't start on Alli when you have to be somewhere special, or right before a trip.

Are the Side Effects Worth It?

Alli can be worth it if you can avoid over-indulging in fats.  Studies show that it helps a person to lose 50% more weight than just dieting alone.  An if you have more than 20 pounds to lose, that can be a real life-saver.

Alli is FDA approved, and currently the only FDA approved over-the-counter diet pill available.

If you can't control your fat intake, Alli probably isn't right for you.  Check for some other weight loss supplements that might be a better fit. .
