Alli Diet Pill

The Alli diet pill is available over-the-counter (OTC) these days.  It's a new class of weight loss supplements that works by binding the fat in foods and passing it through the body.

So instead of your body absorbing the fat in a meal (and taking calories from it), the Alli diet pill works to send it though your system, with fewer calories.

Sound like a good deal?  Let's take a closer look at the Alli weight loss supplement, before you decide if it's right for you.

Oh, and there is one thing rather special about Alli -- it is the only OTC weight loss supplement currently approved by the FDA.

The Alli Diet Pill - How Does it Work?

As mentioned previously, the supplement works by binding up to 25% of your fat intake so that it can't be used for calories by your body.  It does this by attaching to enzymes naturally found in your system.

The undigested fat them passes through your system and is eliminated in a bowel movement.

The active ingredient in Alli is called orlistat, and it is also present in the prescription-strength Xenical.

Does Alli Really Work?

Since the calories from the fat aren't taken up by your body, it does work.  The manufacturer says that when the supplement is used properly, you can lose up to 50% more weight than with plain dieting alone.

So basically, if you are eating sensibly to lose 10 pounds, Alli will help you to lose 15 with the same amount of effort.  Doesn't that sound like a dream come true!

What Else is There to Know?

As you might expect, there are side effects.  While none are healh-threatening, some can be embarrasing.  Check out the Alli side effects page for more information before you buy.

Alli has a nice online support system, with interactive meal planning called MyAlli.  There is also a message board to post questions.  You can register on the site and have access to weight loss consultants familiar with the Alli diet pill..

Only you can decide if the Alli diet pill is right for you.  If it is, it can be a great help to your weight loss efforts.
